Don’t miss it!  Early bird will be ending soon.  Are you ready to be served like never before?

Until October 29, you can register as many (or as few) people as possible for only $39. That’s actually lower than the rates for last year’s conference. Here are more details:

Guest Services Meeting October 23, 2008

This past Tuesday night we had a great time serving some of our amazing Guest Services Volunteers.  After some great BBQ we had the chance to share some life change stories.  God is doing an amazing work though the volunteers @ NewSpring.  Colleen took a few minutes to appreciate, encourage and challenge everyone to be committed and contagious about serving Jesus.  Thank you to everyone who joined us and to Colleen for being committed to leading this ministry.  What a great team God has put together to make His name famous.

A volunteers Experience October 14, 2008

It is the coolest thing ever when a volunteer gets IT and thanks us for letting them serve.  This really makes me smile.  Our Guest Services Coordinator received this e-mail from a volunteer who serves with us every Sunday.  Check this out.

I just wanted to thank you for such an amazing opportunity of serving today.  Today was, hands down, the most fun I have ever had.  Not a church, but like… ever.  If there are any opportunities in the future, please, please, please, don’t hesitate to ask.  I would live at New Spring and volunteer every day if I could.

The team of people that make up this church is amazing and it is so obvious that Jesus is working through all of us.  Great work and thank you for being apart of it.  You do an awesome job!

consider my world rocked.

Truly, thank you,

NewSpring Tailgate Baptism October 7, 2008

Last Saturday, October 4th, the parking lot of NewSpring Church was covered with RV’s, tents, grills, banners, and celebration.  It’s one of the coolest things ever to see so many people come together to celebrate baptism.  Between our Anderson and Greenville Campuses we saw 602 people publicly say that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior.  Jesus is so great!

So, my seven your old daughter has been asking some pretty interesting questions lately.  She accepted Jesus into her heart last year on February 10th.  It’s so cool to see the fruits of the spirit in her life since that day.  We were riding down the road and out of the blue she asks me “When I die and go to heaven what will I look like?”  I honestly did not know exactly how to answer that question.  She then said, “do you think I can ask God to make me 21.”  She said she did not want to be all wrinkled and old looking, she wanted to look 21.  What?  Where did that come from?  Interesting, hu?  She’s seven years old.  She’s already concerned about what she looks like, even when she gets to heaven.  I think I need to spend more time talking to her about the inner beauty of who she is in Christ.  I want her to understand that she is beautiful to Jesus, no matter what she looks like on the outside.  Her beauty comes from her life and actions displaying Jesus.  As women, even as young as seven, we think of beauty as looks.  What our hair looks like, make-up, nails, clothes.  There is nothing wrong with wanting to look nice and pretty, but these concerns can become idols in our lives.  If our thoughts are consumed with being beautiful on the outside,  we will neglect the true beauty the Lord wants to display through us.  A beautiful woman loves Jesus, has confidence in the Lord and who He made her to be, serves her husband and family proudly, and displays the love of Christ in every part of her life.  Girls, we may not always look 21 but we can always be beautiful!

She beautiful.  She loves life.  My daughter is seven.  One thing that is very cool about her question is that she knows (she knows!) that she is going to heaven.  Thank you, Jesus!  Help me to teach and display to her what true beauty is.

Even when you don’t feel it. Even when you’re not happy. Even when you feel condemned. Right now, someone thinks you are BEAUTIFUL. God wants you to see yourself the same way. Join us Oct 19-Nov 23 for Beautiful, A Series for Women and the Men Who Pursue Them.
