- Next Tuesday, September 30th @ 7pm will be our next volunteer class at the Anderson Campus. The last class was amazing and everyone left excited about their next step toward serving at NewSpring. If you want to learn more about serving or know someone who’s ready to plug into ministry be here next week. You can sign up here.
- Saturday, October 4th will be our next tailgate baptism. Last year the parking lot was full of RV’s, tents, grills, golf carts, and food. It was one of the coolest events in the NewSpring history. I know over 400 people signed up to be baptized just at last Sundays service. The tailgating will start @ 3pm and the baptism will be at 5pm. So, bring your weenies and buns and lets have some fun celebrating Jesus.

Yes, construction has been booming. The NewSpring Anderson Campus is expanding. The far left building is going to be our Student Ministry building which will seat 1000 people, house some offices, game rooms, hang out areas, etc. The top building jetting out from the main building is a new Children’s wing. Wow! God is blowing our minds. What’s going to make these buildings really mean something and be successful are the people who are going to fill them. The students, the babies, toddlers and the volunteers will bring these buildings to life.
The call September 11, 2008
So, you know how Perry asked us to write down the name of the person that God brought to our minds and invite them to church this Sunday. Well, I have to say I had to question God on the person he told me to call. See, this would be a very awkward call to make. But, He clearly told me to call this person. I’ve put it off all week thinking about what I might say or how I would begin the conversation. See, there is a hurt that goes down deep in my heart and the hearts of my family. There is a disappointment and sadness that will forever be in my memory. So what! This conversation I needed to have was not about me or my family. This conversation was about this person and Jesus. I felt like he needed to know that Jesus loves him unconditionally.
I just made that call five minutes ago and I’m still shaking. The Lord gave me the words to say. Thank you, Perry, for the challenge.
Who do you need to have a conversation with today? Who do you need to invite to church Sunday?
