The message Sunday was amazing. If you have not heard the message yet listen to it here. God uses ordinary people to do great things. I think too often we underestimate our abilities and our potential to do ministry. We are all ordinary, we all have a past that we are not proud of. Don’t live in the memories of the past. Break free from the bondage of guilt and do something for the Lord. God wants to use you to do great things. Don’t put it off any longer. Go deep! “You are only as deep as the last person you served in the name of Jesus” is how Perry put it. What holds people back from becoming involved in the church? How can we help people understand how God wants to use them to bring him glory?

Unfortunately for so many they cannot forgive themselves for their past and therefore feel unworthy to serve…did you fix your car the last time it broke down, did you heal yourself the last time you got sick?
If you can’t trust God more than you can people that fix these kind of things in your life, what are you really saying about your faith?
I am not throwing rocks at glass houses, just hoping everyone will understand that if you have any doubts that there is really a God, come say hello to me this Sunday as I greet at any of the 4 services.
I am the proverbial live dog versus the dead lion…if God can use me after all the times I started on satan’s team He can use anyone!!!
Take the first step and God can take you away from the doubt and into servitude that allows you to realize we all have problems…it’s how we choose to fix them that is honored.
Thanks Newspring to allowing me to grow by holding an umbrella on a rainy Sunday, for giving a hug to a tearful visitor, and for meaning it when I say…welcome to Newspring!”
